Don't be fooled by the Fast Company name! Our club is for runners of all abilities, as well as walkers. There are a couple of speedier runners in the group and many of us are committed life-long runners, but we are essentially a social running group. Some of us continue to participate in races, while others run just for the pleasure and benefits derived.
Most of our members are on the older end of the age range with many years of running experience, but runners of any age or experience level are welcome.
Fast Company has been active in Dartmouth for over 30 years. Our weekly group run takes place on Sunday mornings from the parking lot of the Zatzman Sportsplex in Dartmouth. We run for about an hour and then meet for coffee afterwards - usually at the Marco Polo cafe in King's Wharf.
During the winter months we start our Sunday runs at 10:00 AM to take advantage of the slightly warmer temperatures. In the warmer months we start earlier, at 9:00 AM. Club members are notified of the time changes via email and our Facebook group.
Some of the routes we run include:
We are also the the organizers of the Dartmouth Natal Day Road Races. We view this primarily as a community service and are very proud of the quality of the race that we are able to put on as a small club, along with a team of dedicated volunteers.
If you think you might like to join us, you can just show up on a Sunday morning, or contact one of our members listed below.
