Come run with us!
We meet on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM at Graham’s Grove Park in Dartmouth. Graham’s Grove is a great central location that gives us easy access to numerous running routes. We run for about 1 hour with group paces of approximately 5:20 per klm and 6:30 per klm. Many members meet for coffee afterward at Just Us in King’s Wharf.
Some potential routes include:
Loop around Lake Banook & Lake Mic Mac 9 klms
Prince Albert Rd, Octerloney St & Waterfront Trail 12 klms (out & back)
North End Dartmouth Loop 8 to 12 klms
We are a club for runners of all abilities. While some of us run marathons and race regularly, many of us come out for the sheer pleasure of running with those who share their enjoyment of the roads and trails of Dartmouth. If you are joining us for the first time, we guarantee you will not run alone, no matter what your pace.
Our club enters a team in the Rum Runners Relay from Halifax to Lunenburg in September, we host a New Year’s Day run and Social each January 1st and many members travel together to races around the province throughout the season.
Our club is also proud to be the organizer of the historic Dartmouth Natal Day Road Race. One of the oldest road races in Canada, this event is a family tradition in Dartmouth and is enjoyed by both competitive and casual runners alike. Last year, participants in the two mile and six mile races numbered approximately 1000, and we hope to attain that goal again in this year’s event.
