We have moved our Sunday runs back to the Dartmouth Sportsplex for the winter months as Shubie Park is not always runnable in the winter months. However the plan is to return to Shubie Park in the spring.
We are currently meeting at the Wyse Road entrance of the Dartmouth Sportsplex at 9:00 on Sunday mornings. We run for approximately an hour and then meet at the Wyse Road Tim Hortons for coffee.

Congratulations again to Fast Company Member, Dave Nevitt, who ran his 100th marathon at the Valley Harvest on the weekend, finishing it in 2:57.
Our group will continue our 9:00am Sunday runs from the Fairbanks Centre in beautiful Shuble Park through the Autumn months. However, we will no longer be renting the facility. Instead we will plan on meeting in the parking lot and running from there. We will then meet for coffee at the Tim Hortons on Waverley Road afterwards.
We have also recommitted to making our Sunday runs a more social group run where everyone runs together for an hour rather than splitting into smaller groups of 2-3 runners.

Congratulations to Fast Company member, Dave Nevitt, who won the 5K on Friday night and then won the marathon on Saturday morning. This was after having raced a marathon the previous weekend!
The 2012 Dartmouth Natal Day Road Races are almost upon us – Monday, August 6th is race morning. Fast Company Running Club has been putting on this event for a number of years which includes 6-mile and 2-mile races attracting between 800 and 1,000 runners of all abilities. Congratulations to Ray Williams of the club who completed the EPIC Dartmouth Iron-distance triathalon last weekend on a very hot day – his first triathalon ever, of any distance. The organinizer, Tim Chestnut, put on an excellent event for Dartmouth.

The Fairbanks Centre will not be open this Sunday for the regular group run. There are a number of members who will be volunteering, watching, or competing in the Dartmouth EPIC event that morning. Shubue Park of course is still open for anyone who still wishes to run!
